Laurie Koteen was an
environmental education intern with URI from 1996-1997 in New
Haven. After leaving Yale, she worked as a research associate
at Environmental Defense in New York. For the past two years,
she has been working on her PhD in ecology at the University
of California Berkeley. Of her internship work, which centered
on the New Haven River and Coastal ecosystems, she says that
she enjoyed it very much because she was able "to learn
along with the students about the vibrant natural places tucked
away in the city of New Haven." |
