Paul Jahnige was a
community forestry intern with URI in the Summer of 1993 in
Baltimore. Following his internship, he served as the Urban
Watershed and Community Forester for East Baltimore for the
City of Baltimore and the Parks and People Foundation. He then
went on to create and direct Community Resources, a technical
assistance non-profit that develops community forestry and
environmental education initiatives in Mid-Atlantic cities
(www.dcgreenworks.org or www.community
resources.org). According
to Paul, the creation of this organization was instigated by
his internship with URI. Currently, he is the Community Action
Forester for western and central Massachusetts for the Massachusetts
Department of Conservation and Recreation. |
