Beth Conover spent a
summer as a URI Intern in Baltimore working as the Team Leader
for the City's Watershed Planning / District Training Development
Programs. After her time at Yale, Beth worked for several years
on award-winning planning and development of regional park, trail
and river corridor amenities on the former Stapleton Airport
site in Denver, Colorado. She went on to start her own consulting
practice, Headwaters Consulting, LLC, which focused on strategic
planning and conservation program development throughout Colorado.
Her clients have included The Nature Conservancy, Green Industries
of Colorado, Colorado State Parks, the City of Aurora, and the
Denver Mayor’s South Platte River Commission, among others.
Currently, she is the senior policy aide for Parks, Planning,
Public Works and Water to Denver's Mayor John Hickenlooper. Beth
says that working with URI was an important formative experience, "if
not always easy," and has served as the foundation for much
of the work she has done since. |
