*Please note: Patients arriving for early morning laboratory services (phlebotomy only) must come with their lab requisition in order for the drawing to occur, as staff in the clinical departments will not be available to provide any paperwork until 8:30 am.

Our services

Yale University Health Services (YUHS) contracts with Quest Diagnostics Services in all 6 New England states (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island) to provide laboratory services to Yale Health Plan (YHP) members.

  • Quest has 88 Patient Service Centers throughout Connecticut available to YHP members. To find a location near you, click here.
  • Quest offers patients the opportunity to schedule a convenient appointment for their blood work.

We offer phlebotomy services and electrocardiograms (EKG). Printed patient instructions are available for certain tests.

FAQs

  • When is the lab open?
    Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
  • I want to get an EKG- what do I do?
    EKGs are only performed once ordered by and scheduled through your primary care clinician.
  • I am a student who has waived YHP insurance coverage. Can I still use the lab?
    Yes- all students are covered for laboratory services requested by their primary care clinicians.
  • When do I get my lab results?
    Your primary care clinician will contact you with your results once they are in.
  • I want to have a specific lab test done. How do I schedule it?
    All tests are ordered by a clinician, so speak to yours for a referral.
