Coping with Breastfeeding Challenges
Use all of the resources available to you in the community. You can also call the National Women's Health Information Center Breastfeeding Helpline at 1-800-994-9662.
In order to prevent challenges from arising, remember the three most important things about breastfeeding:
- Nurse early and often.
- Nurse with the nipple and the areola in the baby's mouth, not just the nipple.
- Breastfeed on demand.
