TC ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Please remember that the deadlines for submitting announcements for email

distribution by the Master's Office are Mondays at 12:00 noon for Monday

afternoon distribution and Thursdays at 12:00 noon for Thursday afternoon

distribution. Sorry, but emails will not be sent to all Trumbullians

outside these designated times, so please plan ahead. You may send your

2.  Dinner w/ Graduate Teaching Center Reps Wednesday

 

The Graduate Teaching Center has arranged for two members to meet with a small group of Trumbull students on Wednesday, January 28, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Farr Room (2nd floor of entryway K).  The meeting is to learn more about how undergraduates experience labs and sections that are administered by graduate teaching fellows. They plan to utilize this feedback in planning future GTC events that help train graduate TFs.

 

Seating is limited, so please respond to the Master’s Office via email if you want to attend. 

 

3.  French Table starts Friday

 

French Table starts 1/30/09 at 11:30 – 12:30 TC dining hall.  Erin Tremblay is the instructor. Look for the reserved table.

 

4.  Ski Trip 2009

 

Dearest Trumbull,

Feeling nostalgic for winter break? Come join your Trumbullians on the annual
Ski Trip this February 7 at Okemo Mountain, Vermont!

Students Pay only $25.00 for lift ticket AND bus transportation to and fro the
mountain. (Note: $25 = 3 ABP sandwiches, 1/4 History course packet, 1.5 meal
swipes, 1/2 the fees for not turning in your course enrollment sheet to Jan on
time, 3-4 drinks at Toads, 1.3 hours of work you will NOT be making at Morgan
Stanley this summer, etc.) Rentals costs are $29 for skis or snowboard and $9
for helmet.

The bus leaves TC at 5:30 a.m. and will leave Okemo at 4:30 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.
Also, expect to make one fast food stop on the return trip.

Sign ups start this coming Monday in the Master's Office. Payment is due at sign
up, and all students must complete a risk waiver form when signing up in the
Master’s Office.

5.  Trumbullians in Yale Gospel Choir Concert

 

Wanna get your gospel on? Then come to YGC's alumni concert this Saturday, 8pm in the AfAm house for a hand-clapping, foot-stomping good time.  Support fellow Trumbullians Robbie Goehrke, Conrad Lee and many more! $2 Admission, reception to follow.

 

 

6.  The Magic Flute at Shubert Theater

 

The Yale Opera will be presenting a new production of Mozart’s THE MAGIC FLUTE at the Shubert Theater.  Please sign up in the Master’s Office if you would like to attend the Saturday, February 14, production at 8:00 p.m.

 

Trumbull students pay $5.00 at sign up in the Master’s Office.  Please sign up by February 6 at 5:00 p.m.  Tickets will be distributed from the Master’s Office on Thursday, February 12 and Friday, February 13.
