Applications for Yale Summer Session Counselor positions are available in the TC Dean’s Office. Applications are due by February 6 to the Yale Summer Session office at 55 Whitney Ave., Suite 430. Being a summer counselor is a great opportunity for students who will be in New Haven for the summer, taking a course or doing research. Counselors receive free tuition for one summer course credit ($2,650 non-transferable to another summer or institution) and a 21 meal-per-week room and board contract for the ten weeks of the program. More importantly, counselors are part of a wonderful summer community.  While no single formula can describe the sort of person who would make the most effective counselor, applicants should be mature students who enjoy working with others and who feel committed to the intellectual and social values of residential college life. The job also requires resourcefulness, integrity, good judgment, and energy. Diversity of all types is a plus. The position requires counselors to be available in the evenings from 5 pm on and on the weekends. Any currently enrolled Yale sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing or any Yale alumnus is eligible to apply.  For more information contact the Summer Session office: summer.session@yale.edu or 432-2430.

2009 Cultural Connections Aide positionsApplicants for the positions can be students who did not attend the freshman pre-orientation program Cultural Connections as well as those who did.  The job description and application are available in the TC Dean’s Office.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, February 27, 2009.  Questions to Ms. Sandie Vita (sandra.vita@yale.edu) or the Program Director, Dean Rosalinda Garcia (rosalinda.garcia@yale.edu).
