You might visit the new website, which features:

Search International Opportunities (STUDIO ABROAD) - Students can now search for opportunities through CIE, including 200+ study and internship programs abroad that Yale administers.

Apply for International Opportunities- Beginning in December, students will also be able to apply for summer and academic year opportunities through the CIE website.

“MyCIE”- When they apply for summer 2009 and academic year 2009-2010 experience, students will create a “MyCIE” account that will save and store their application information.  Students will also receive guidance pre-departure through this application.

Peer Advising program- Each Residential College has a Peer Adviser to serve as the point-person for their fellow students with questions related to all of Yale’s international opportunities.

Sustainability Abroad- Resources for students going abroad, and a framework in which to consider not only environmental sustainability, but also socio-cultural and economic.

A Student-Led Panel on International Summer Opportunities sponsored by The International Students Organization. International students talk about their summer experiences in internships, jobs, and courses abroad. And find out about the resources at Yale for studying and working abroad. Tuesday, November 11, 7:00 PM, LC 10. There will be ample time for questions.

Center for International Experience :  CELEBRATION. Join the CIE for a reception Celebrating International Education Week. Tuesday, November 18, 7-9 pm, Sterling Library, Sterling Lecture Hall. 2009 Humanity in Action (HIA) summer fellowship programs: The HIA Fellowship brings together university students from the United States and Europe for a rigorous, interdisciplinary inquiry into human rights, diversity, and minority issues. Students participate in the five-week fellowship in one of six different countries: Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, or the United States. Upon completing the fellowship, Fellows join an active international network of young professionals and are eligible for internship opportunities at the United States Congress, European Parliament, International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and other civic and political institutions. HIA will select 56 matriculated sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates (May 2007 or later) from American colleges and universities to participate in these five-week programs. HIA selects its Fellows on the basis of their demonstrated commitment to minority rights, evidence of leadership potential, and outstanding academic achievement. At  www.humanityinaction.org are first hand testimonials from past Fellows.  Full application materials will be available by November 15th at the HIA website. www.humanityinaction.org
