Elementary Education Exploration (Grades 1-6)
Note: Elementary Education Exploration is only open to full-time Yale undergraduates.
While the Yale Teacher Preparation Program does not have a course of study that leads to certification in elementary education, there is a flexible program of exploration that provides both coursework and field experiences which can greatly enhance understanding of teaching at the elementary level. Candidates choose from the courses below as they prepare either for independent school employment or graduate school admission. TPRP 190a and one of the Child Study courses is a prerequisite for the internship (TPRP 471).
