Yale Daily News is founded, the oldest college daily newspaper. Many famous journalists developed their passion for journalism as reporters and editors on its staff. Yale students participate in an extraordinary array of extracurricular organizations, ranging from numerous theater and music groups, cultural centers, and political groups to more than seventy student- coordinated community service programs that work with over one hundred community agencies.
