Residential College Seminars

In 1969 Yale University implemented the Residential College Seminar Program as part of a broad-based plan to enlarge and enhance the educational life of the Colleges. Since its inception, the program has augmented the Yale College curriculum with innovative and experimental courses in the arts, humanities, and sciences. College Seminars seek to expose undergraduates to modes of inquiry such as interdisciplinary study, not available within Yale's departmental framework.

Each semester Timothy Dwight College sponsors three Residential College Seminars, for which Timothy Dwight students receive preferential placement. These seminars are selected by the TD Residential College Seminar Committee, which is composed of interested TD students.
