Because the TCA's success is so vitally tied to the the collection, distribution, and scholarly exchange of knowledge, hosting events is central to its strategy. Each academic semester since the Center's inception in 2007 has seen its involvement within the larger academic community grow through hosting and co-sponsoring events.

The Center for Transnational Cultural Analysis (TCA) is accepting applications for fellowships to attend the Johannesburg Workshop in Theory and Criticism, July 18 to July 28 2009, from advanced (dissertation-writing) students enrolled in the Graduate School, Yale University. The TCA fellowship will cover economy class travel to and from Johannesburg and conference tuition of $2,000 (which includes accommodation, airport transfer in South Africa, daily transport in South Africa, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and entrance fees for evening cultural events).

A complete description and application can be found here: Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF.
