Name:Laura O'Brien Age: 17 Ht: 5'7 Wt: 135 Event:500, 1000 & 1650 Free; 400 IM Hometown: Waterton, CT (Omni Swim Club) Bio: Laura began her swimming career on the Watertown Park and Rec Swim Team. Her records in the 100 IM and 50 free that she set in 1992 were just recently broken by an 8-year old from her town. She eventually moved to Omni where Frank turned her into a distance swimmer. During her time at the Hotchkiss School she set records in the 200 free, 500 free, and 200 IM and was nominated MVP at the '99-'00 New England Championships. She has qualified for Junior Nationals in the 500, 1000, and 1650 and looks forward to improving her times at Yale.
