Accomplishments:At the 2002 HYPs, James earned personal best times
in every event. He was the second leg on the pool-record setting
200 Free Relay with a split of 20.29 and anchored the winning 400
Free Relay with a time of 44.31. Also at HYPs, he swam a lifetime
best in the 200 Free with a time of 1:39.43. At the 2002 EISL's,
James earned a spot in the top 8 with a prelims time of 45.33 in
the 100 Freestyle.
Personal:
James returns to Yale this year after spending the summer in Los
Angeles, California, working for the visual effects industry. He
does not know where miniatures, architecture, or vfx will lead him
down the road, but he is hopeful that it will keep things interesting.
Other interests include set design, tour guiding, and SCUBA diving.
This year he is also in charge of the swimming website.
