Bio: As a Freshman in high school, Melanie qualified to the 1998 East Indoor J.O. Nationals on 1 meter and 3 meter, and to the 1998 Summer J.O. Nationals on all 3 events, where her highest finish was 15th place on platform, in the 14-15 age group. As a 16-18 girl in J.O. diving, she qualified to the 1999 East Indoor J.O. Nationals in Indianapolis, IN on 1 meter. She placed 9th on 3 meter at the East Indoor J.O. Nationals in Long Island, NY, and qualified on all 3 events to the 2000 Summer J.O. Nationals in Mission Viejo, CA. In 2001, she qualified for her first Senior Nationals in Fort Lauderdale, FL, placing 21st on platform and 29th on 3 meter. |
