Greenberg Conference Center – LEED Gold
Consisting of an amphitheater, a dining room, seminar rooms, classrooms, office spaces, and a catering kitchen, this 13,647 square foot conference center hosts international leadership programs and connects via passageway to the existing adjacent building, Betts House. The Greenburg Conference Center received LEED Gold certification for its innovative green design which incorporates energy efficiency and renewable energy features, locally sourced materials, stormwater runoff mitigation mechanisms, and excellent indoor air quality for building occupants.More than 40% (based on cost) of materials used for this building were sourced from regional locations. Over 50% of the wood used is certified as sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council. Additionally, construction and demolition debris was recycled resulting in an 86% reduction of total construction waste diverted from landfills.
