Jennifer Baka is a first year Ph.D student at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies where she plans on examining the economic, environmental and social impacts of promoting biofuels in developing countries. Energy policy issues have kept her busy since graduating with a B.S. in economics from The George Washington University in 2000. She worked over four years as an energy consultant in Washington, DC and returned to her native Pennsylvania for a brief stint to work on the Kerry Campaign in 2004 before moving to Berkeley, CA where she completed an MPP in 2005.
Here at the Office of Sustainability, she is working to update Yale’s GHG inventory.
In her free time, she tries to cook but the lure of New Haven’s great pizza places and Italian delis is often too strong. She therefore bikes, hikes and does yoga to assuage the guilt. |
