The Sustainability Working Group was convened in September 2007 to develop stronger lines of communication and coordination of our related efforts throughout the year.

The Working Group is not responsible for policy making but rather an opportunity to be better educated on each other's efforts as Yale progresses towards becoming a sustainable campus.

Participants met on a quarterly basis throughout the calendar year. Participating departments included -

• Central/Science Custodial
• Recycling
• Grounds Maintenance
• Sustainable Transportation
• Yale Sustainable Food Project
• Procurement, Facilities
• Center for Business Environment at Yale
• Central Campus - Capital Construction/Planning
• Environmental Health and Safety - electronic waste etc.
• School of Medicine - Capital Construction
• Yale Office of Public Affairs and Admisssions
