Creative Writing
Help Choose a Visiting WriterFor any aspiring writer, the chance to encounter working writers, hear their stories, and ask their advice is invaluable. Each summer, the Creative Writing Program invites a number of writers to campus, to meet with all the Creative Writing students and give a public reading from their work. In past summers we’ve had Neil Gaiman (Sandman), novelist and screenwriter Tom Perrotta (Little Children, Election), Pulitzer-prize winning novelist Marilynne Robinson (Gilead, Housekeeping) and renowned poets Sharon Olds and Heather McHugh. |
For the 2008 Summer Session, we’d like you to help choose the visiting writers. Who would you most like to meet, talk to, and hear?
Of course the Program can’t guarantee that your favorite writer will be free to come, or be able to accept an invitation. But the Creative Writing Program will be watching this poll!
So vote – just once, please, but you’re welcome to get your friends to vote for your favorite too:
