Financial Aid

The International Summer Award (ISA) is available to eligible Yale College students. Study abroad applicants who want to apply for an ISA should visit that web site (www.yale.edu/isa) before applying to Summer Session in order to determine eligibility for the award.

Program Fee

The $650 Program Fee includes Study Abroad Health Insurance and Activities Fee. HTH Worldwide is one of the world's largest providers of medical and security evacuation. HTH provides local 24-hour medical assistance, including the evaluation and monitoring of medical treatment and comprehensive management of evacuations and repatriations.

Please note that the $650 program fee will be due two weeks from the date of your receipt of acceptance to the program.

Tuition

The tuition for this program in 2008 is $2,500-$5,000. 1 credit courses are $2,500 and 3 credit courses are $5,000.

Housing in Siena

Students will be living with host families in Siena. Two meals per day are provided with housing.

Room and Board in New Haven**

Students enrolled in ITAL S-130 will live in New Haven for the first 3 weeks of class. Students may choose to live on Yale campus or may live off campus. Visit the Financial Information section on the Summer Session website to verify on campus housing costs. Estimated cost shows a range from off campus - on campus housing. Off-campus housing is often a less expensive option. Accepted Yale Summer Session students seeking off-campus summer housing may visit the University Housing Office in person or browse the listings on line. The Housing Office is not able to respond to mail or telephone requests for housing assistance.

Round-Trip Airfare and transportation to host site

Estimated cost of airfare from JFK, New York to Rome (FCO). General instructions about how to get to the city from the airport will be provided before students leave and students must find his/her own way to the host site from the airport.
