Auvillar Expenses
Financial AidThe International Summer Award (ISA) is available to eligible Yale College students. Study abroad applicants who want to apply for an ISA should visit that web site (www.yale.edu/isa) before applying to Summer Session in order to determine eligibility for the award. Non-Yale students should consult their respective financial aid offices for funding opportunities.
Program FeeThe $1,700 Program Fee includes Study Abroad Health Insurance and Activities Fee. HTH Worldwide is one of the world's largest providers of medical and security evacuation. HTH provides local 24-hour medical assistance, including the evaluation and monitoring of medical treatment and comprehensive management of evacuations and repatriations. The Program Fee also includes round-trip transportation from the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport to Auvillar, plus all course related supplies and studio materials. Please note that the $1,700 program fee will be due two weeks from the date of the applicant’s receipt of acceptance into the program.
TuitionThe tuition for this program in 2009 is $5,100 for 2 Yale credits.
Housing in AuvillarHousing accommodations are from June 22-July 18, 2009.
Round-Trip Airfare and transportation to host siteStudents are responsible for round-trip transportation from their point of origin to the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS). Transportation between Toulouse and Auvillar (80 km) is provided by the program.
MealsThe estimated cost for meals not covered in the program is $200-$400. Several venues are available to the students outside of the Dinner Seminars in addition to the cooking facilities in the gîtes. Unlike Paris, daily expenses in Auvillar can be reasonable.
MiscellaneousOnce in Auvillar there will be minimal expenses; daily spending allowance can be kept in the $25 range.
