Spiritual
and Intellectual Programs
at Saint Thomas More
Small Church Communities
While the chapel community as a whole gathers primarily on
Sundays, Small Church Communities provide opportunities for
small groups to gether in the Chaplain's Residence and Chapel
Hall during the week to focus on faith sharing and personal
support.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
(RCIA)
RCIA is the process through which Adults become Catholic.
If spirit has moved you to seek baptism into Christianity
or to convert from another Christian denomination, the RCIA
program will provide you to discover and explore the Catholic
faith tradition.
Faith Fellowships & Lectures
A major part of the rich intellectual life at St. Thomas More,
fellowships and lectures bring distinguished speakers to the
Chapel and give students and community members the opportunity
to interact with and learn from them. Recent guests include
William F. Buckley, Cokie Roberts, Cardinal Godfried Danneels,
Sen. John Danforth, and many others.
Social Justice Programs
Saint Thomas More Chapel strives to meet the Catholic Church's commitment to social justice in the New Haven community, nation, and world.
Conference on Governance, Accountability,
and the Future of the Church
In March 2003, St. Thomas More invited renowned speakers and
church leaders to discuss the difficult questions that are
now facing the Catholic Church. The weekend's program is currently
