Chris Young TC '09 (Social Activities Co-Chair)
is a History major from Huntsville, Alabama. Besides STM, Chris also spends a great deal of time with the Yale Precision Marching Band and the Yale Daily News. He also works in the Trumbull Buttery, Thursdays from 10-11:30 PM. Come visit him. He will feed you.
William Sankey DC '09 (Faith and Culture co-chairperson)
hails from Montgomery, Alabama. He has an interest in interfaith dialogue as well as in extending the embrace of Yale's Catholic community into its residential colleges. Around campus, he also serves as the program coordinator for the America Counts elementary math tutoring initiative.
Alison Gillmeister MC ’09 (Co-Chairperson)
comes to STM from just outside Buffalo, New York. A humanities major, she enjoys supporting Morse College, skating with Yale Figure Skating, and working at the Writing Center. Alison is thankful to have been here for the opening of the Golden Center and feels blessed to have found such a strong faith community.
John Lee CC ‘10 (Social Justice Chair)
comes from the beautiful island of Guam, where he was born and raised. After attending the same school for 14 years on an island of about 150,000 people, he often wonders how he ended up in New Haven and is excited by the possibilities. John is a tentative Ethics, Politics, and Economics major still clinging to his dream of becoming a rock star. During his time at Yale, John would like to contribute the most he can to STM and Catholic life at Yale.
Andrew Tschirhart TC ’10 (Publicity Co-Chair)
is a tentative Economics Major. As the publicity co-chair, Andrew spreads the word about great STM events through emails, posters, and various other methods of communication. Andrew is involved in the Yale Glee Club, Choose Life at Yale, Best Buddies, and biology research at the Medical School. Andrew enjoys a good book, a good World Series baseball game, a good bowl of vanilla pudding, and a good nap.
Piotr Kozlowski SY ’09 (Student Outreach Co-Chairperson & Building Committee Student Representative)
is an Economics major. Born in Kraków, Poland, he lives in Buffalo. Piotr will help spread the word about STM and the Golden Center to the undergraduates and try to get as many students to enjoy everything the Saint Thomas More Community has to offer. As the student representative on the Building Committee, Piotr is excited to participate in the process of the renovation of the Chapel. He loves playing guitar and violin and is an active member of the Davenport Pops Orchestra, as well as the Yale Student Investment Group.
Sarah Landers ES ’11, Cultural Co-Chairperson
originally from New Canaan, CT, is now a member and devotee of Ezra Stiles College. Sarah serves as a co-Cultural Chairperson on the Saint Thomas More Undergraduate Council along with William Sankey, and they hope to help provide STM with more opportunities for exploration of ethnic and historical Catholicism while making the Golden Center an even stronger force on campus and within the residential college system. Aside from STM, Sarah is involved in the Ezra Stiles College Council, occasional Moose IM’s, the Yale Banner, CLAY, tutoring, and ballroom dance. She loves baseball, music, photography, all 4 seasons, and Yale.
Marysa Leya SM ’11, Social Activities Co-Chairperson
hails from the Chicago suburbs and loves the city where Buckingham isn't a palace, LSD isn't a drug, and the Sears Tower is still the tallest building in the world. She is a prospective MCDB major, but also devotes her time to Club Tennis, the Polish Society, and volunteering at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Marysa looks forward to planning events, serving St. Thomas More and the Yale community as Social Activities Co-Chair, and promoting Catholic life at Yale.
Matthew P. Long DC ’10 (Strategic Planning Committee Representative)
is a history major from Albuquerque, New Mexico. As the undergraduate representative on Strategic Planning Committee, he will be seeking out student input on the future of the Saint Thomas More community. He is excited to serve on the council during this period of
vibrant growth in Catholic life at Yale.
Stephany Reaves PC '10 (Secretary and Program Committee Representative)
is a political science major from Northern Virginia.
She spends most of her time running for Yale's Cross Country and Track teams. She is also involved with B.R.E.D., works in the Pierson Buttery, and likes to play guitar. Stephany loves foreign languages, chocolate ice cream, spending time with friends, and Saint Thomas More.
Campbell Garland ’09 (Treasurer/Special Events Coordinator)
is an archaeology major with a strong interest in Mediterranean civilizations. Cami is deaf, but speaks loads about her hometown of St. Louis, although she was born in Louisiana! Cami attended Catholic schools her whole life, and loves learning about various religions and getting more involved with Saint Thomas More. She is also one of the managing editors for The Helicon (Classics Journal), and JE Sux!
Matthew Klein SY’09 (Co-Chairperson)
comes from the beautiful Windy City, and is a proud fan of all things Chicago. As co-chair, Matt strives to spread the word about the great events Saint Thomas More has to offer, and is always looking for new ways of reaching out to the community. An MCDB major, Matt is involved Yale Student EMS, volunteers at Connecticut Hospice, and works as an Emergency Department Tech at Yale New Haven Hospital. He loves going for long runs through New Haven and hanging out at the Golden Center.
Jonathan Serrato JE '09 (Student Outreach Co-Chair)
comes to us from beautiful Southern California, where he enjoys the warmth of the sun in any given season. He is excited to be a part of the strong Catholic community here at Yale and looks forward to the long lasting relationships that will be formed during his stay. Jonathan is particularly interested in spreading passion for the Lord among student life.
Jennifer Angarita SM ’10, Social Justice Co-Chairperson
is from Dallas, Texas and is pursuing a double major in Sociology and Anthropology. She has been happily involved with the STM community since her freshman year. In addition to her work with STM, Jennifer is an associate editor for La Fuerza and Community Action Chair for MEChA de Yale. She is passionate about labor and immigrants rights and spent the past summer working for a New Haven non-profit as a Dwight Hall Summer Fellow.
