Secure Shell (SSH) Access to Yale Hosts

Note that you can obtain Kerberized telnet or Secure Shell (SSH) software for your personal computer from the Software Download Site. Having such software installed on your personal computer makes it unnecessary to use this page.

This web site uses the MindTerm Java SSH Applet by AppGate to allow users to open a Secure Shell session from the convenience of a web browser. This service can be especially useful to those traveling and using computers that are not configured to connect to Yale hosts.

Open an SSH session.

Your web browser may tell you that allowing this applet to run is a "high risk." In order to use this applet, you must grant it all the permissions it requests.

Note that there are version requirements on the web browsers you can use with this applet. This applet also does not function on Macintosh computers. If your web browser is too old to use this applet, download a newer browser from Netscape or Microsoft.
