  • Love Poem
    by James

The sky is blue just like you
The earth is green as you have seen
The waves are still like you in my grill
The lights are out like what me and you talk about
The sound of the waves turn me on to you like a blaze
So I will never forget you just so we can get through
So let me take you home
Cause I just finished my poem

    Poem
    by Raquel

Sitting in a chair waiting for a trim
Hearing the clippers, wishing it to end
I admit I need a haircut really bad
but the barber cutting my hair like my bald dad
I can tell the barber is not a pro because
I look like a crow with a trim
My hair is going faster and faster
    It looks like a disaster

    Poem
    by Eboni Dinkins

As a couple stare into each other's eyes
    Walking along country street
She wishes she doesn't have to tell all those lies
    to her darling love
She is cheating on him with his best friend Joe
    the only reason why is
because he is giving up all his dough
I think he is being stupid
How she is playin both of them
But I think she is the doofus
Cause he is going with her sister.

    My Poem
    by Leo

The man is gruesome about his hair cut
I think he's about to throw up
The beautician is all happy and glad
But the man is very sad
She looks as if that's a fake expression on her face
Because his breath is running a real fast pace.
It looks like she's not even done
I bet she's having lots of fun.
His hair looks like a pile of catnip.
He's not giving her a tip.
It looks like he's in a roller coaster ride
    I wonder who's next inline.
I bet his breath smells like pootang pie
I think she needs to retire.

    Poem
    by Richard Simon

    The smell of electrical fuses
Built in chairs cushioned by orange foam
The sun reflecting off silver scissor
as they cut through silky strands of hair.
I can see it is terrible for you.
But it is over now, and the thought
    of losing your hair too.

    The Secret Lake
    by Shamar Pearson

A lake whose cliff covers the shiny pebbles
that lay beneath the cold lake.

My face reflects on the lake, a mirror reflecting
on the lake a mirror reflecting my personality.

The personality I never knew I had.

The joy and peace my soul buried deep
    in my soul.

I start to cry, but the mirror disappears.

All I see is lights, bright lights.

Houses who were destroyed there I stay
    with my joy and peace.

    Poem
    by Leo

There was a bright son. My sons were playing hide-and-seek and I took a peep. The phone rung. It felt like I busted my lung. It was my manager saying I'm late. The hit single, "Wild Wild West" is going to lead your fate. So I hurried up. I drink the sweet orange juice in my cup. I called for my limo. But what I saw was a floating car and I thought it was a UFO. The driver said come in, I didn't care cause I was making dough.

    Story
    by Antonio

This is a school. I was like what is today? The dog told me that it is October 28, 1999. I was like, stop lying. They were like you are the oldest living person in this world. I said oh my goodness. Where is my mother and father? And my little sisters and brothers. The dog told me everyone is dead that I know. I started to cry. But I still looked good. I looked like a 14 year old so that is good. I'm old so mad girls would love me.

    Story
    by Raquel

As I woke up in my bed the world was changed. My parents were old and gray, I looked in the mirror. I looked deranged. My brothers and sisters were not in the house, it seemed so quiet when they weren't here.

I asked my parents what year was this. They said it's the year two twenty, what did just missed. I ran out my house I see people in funny looking suits all different kind of clothing, colorful hair so high, tall as a mouse. I was scared to death, couldn't breath. There were all kinds of animals in the trees.

I ran home as fast as I can. I see my brothers and sister with kids. I was an uncle, something I never been before, but I was so scared I ran into the door. I woke up another hour or so, they said I was knocked out.

    Story
    by Jonathan Torres

Something's weird. I woke up this morning and nothing's the same. The clock says 2019 and the last time I knew it was the year before the millenium. But a lot has changed since I been sleep. The people don't wear too much clothes and they have flying cars. What is this? Can't somebody get some sleep without the world flipping upside down? It's going to take a lot of time for me to get used to this but if I try I think I could get the hang of this. But the only thing is that I will not run around half naked wearing my clothes like they did 20 years ago and that's that. Even though it might be the thing nowadays, I can't get used to that. If any thing, clothing could have stayed the same.

    Bye-bye-boat
    by Victor Lopez

As I was sailing in the water in my boat in the crisp blue salty water, I felt the cold windy air brushing against my face as I looked up I can see the brightly lit sky with shiny golden stars. As the waves brush against the boat, I can taste the water. But oh no, the boat something has gone wrong, the water is rushing. The water is rushing through, it hit a rock. It put a big doughnut hole. I tried to stop it but the boat sank. I made it on shore. The shore was sandy and dark.

Under the purple sky there is two people walking.
They are listening to the water rushing and hittingthe rocks.
They could listen to the wind going through their ear.
They see the sky and it looks like fiery bright yellowstars.
They look at the water and see a boat passing by.
Across the lake they hear the rushing and busy city.
But they go by very happy.

Secret lover's dont want you to know. Deeply in love. Like a bullet to the head like Romeo and Juliet. Holding hands, hugging, and kissing. Just want to hold and listen to each other. I love you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. Will you marry me? As they walk down the street not knowing what might happen in the future. As they become closer and closer like never before.

I hear the sound of the waves splashing. I see the fish swimming in the ocean and the star shinning in the sky. I taste dirty salt water splashing against my face. I feel the bridge collapsing. I smell the dry animals on the sick of the shore.

It was the year two thousand nineteen. I was sleep like a drunk sheep. The phone ranged. It was the coach of the Pittsburg Steelers. He wanted me to play on his team. I said it must be a dream but it wasnt. I was thirty two years old and I was starting to look like mold. He said that I would be starting the fullback. Then somebody shot a tic tac at my back. The coach said sike. I was so mad I rode my bike all the way to Pittsburg to the stadium.
