New Haven Charity Concert Series Each year, the Yale Spizzwinks(?) Alumni Association commissions a series of eight concerts to be performed by the undergraduate group for youth organizations and public schools in greater New Haven. Subsidized by the YSAA, these concerts showcase the Yale Spizzwinks to a new and different audience that would otherwise not have the opportunity to hear the group perform. See the press release. Amistad School Choral Project Increasing their presence in the community, the Yale Spizzwinks Alumni Association in conjunction with the University Alumni Chorus recently awarded a grant to the Amistad School in New Haven for the creation of a new choral program. 'Wink Alumnus Receives Tony Award In June 2011, Yale Spizzwinks member Bobby Lopez ('97) received three Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score Written for the Theater for the musical "The Book of Mormon."
