About Julia: When Julia is not flailing her arms at Something Extra in a manner strikingly similar to an air traffic controller, she enjoys railing against Connecticut's Mexican food. (A Texas native, Yale's "nachos" and canned salsa have reduced her to tears on several occasions.) Other than these two time-consuming hobbies, Julia makes noise a lot. She is an avid French horn player in the Yale Symphony Orchestra and the treasurer of Yale TAPS, Yale's finest tap dancing company. (The fact that Yale only has one tap company is irrelevant.) She is also a professional at banging pots together while singing loudly in the Silliman kitchen; she loves to bake, especially for SE birthdays. When Julia grows up, she dreams of becoming an astronaut, a ballerina, a Methodist minister, or someone employed in (almost) anything other than dentistry.

Fun Fact: Julia's clothing style has recently been described as "preppy, Amanda Seyfried bohemian." When she figures out what that means, she'll come up with a crushing reply. In the meantime, Julia can hum all of Shostakovich's 5th symphony finale, including the timpani part. If you can too, tell her. You're soulmates.

Favorite Song Lyrics:

I go to the hills when my heart is lonely--
I know I will hear what I've heard before.
My heart will be blessed with the sound of Music
and I'll Sing once more!
