About Us

The Yale Collegiate Figure Skating Club was founded in 1999 by undergraduates at Yale University. Since then, the Yale Collegiate Figure Skating Club has developed into an official United States Figure Skating collegiate club. Its members include undergraduates as well as graduate students. Membership is open to anyone who wishes to join and skate.

The Yale Collegiate Figure Skating Club organizes an annual exhibition "Ivy On Ice" featuring its members, as well as regional skaters who compete at the sectional and national level. At the first "Ivy On Ice" in December 2003, all proceeds were donated to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society to support American troops around the world. This year's "Ivy On Ice" in December 2004, was organized to benefit the Special Olympics.

The Yale Collegiate Figure Skating Club holds freestyle sessions Monday thru Thursday from 7-9 AM at Ingalls Rink on the corner of Prospect and Sachem.
