Social Justice Network Organizing Fund
The Social Justice Organizing Fund provides a secure funding source
that is tailored to the special needs and goals of the activist
community. Activists usually find it difficult to obtain funding when
their projects do not fit within the structure of an established
Yale Organization or when activists organize to quickly respond to
new injustices. The Social Justice Network Organizing Fund is designed
to support projects that may not otherwise obtain funding from
other campus sources. This fund also strengthens student projects
and skills by giving priority to collaborative projects and by
requiring those receiving funding to attend recommended Leadership
Institute organizing worshops as well as receive input from
the general SJN about their project. By securing financial resources
for social justice projects, the organizing fund makes a
profound impact upon the social justice community
at Yale.
The SJN Organizing Fund Committee reviews applications at
the begining of every semester. To receive a current application,
