ISFA@Yale holds practice sessions, performances, and workshops in the Traditional Dances of the Minangkabau Culture of West Sumatra, Indonesia. In West, Sumatra, the traditions and culture of the people, including their theater, dance, and music, play a vital role in bringing the community together. Children learn traditional dance from a young age, and the Minang people have preserved adab and adat within the traditional arts for centuries.
