Elizabeth Breese

elizabeth.breese (at) yale.edu, Elizabeth wrote a senior honors thesis on human rights education in the United States Army based on field research conducted at U.S. Army bases and educational sites. She is also interested in civic participation, identity and cultural trauma, especially concerning communities on the Gulf Coast after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Elizabeth is a senior fellow with Humanity in Action. For the 2007-2008 academic year, Elizabeth was awarded the Vida Dutton Scudder Fellowship and was accorded an Honorable Mention by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.

Christine Slaughter

christine.slaughter (at) yale.edu, Christine Slaughter has interests in the fields of culture, theory, and gender. She is particularly interested in the constitution of identity and solidarity in democratic and multicultural contexts. Her previous work has addressed gender in American political and civil discourse, using Nancy Pelosi as a case study.
