Diplomas > Diplomas conferred mid-year
Students who receive mid-year degrees and would like to have their diploma mailed must go to the SIS Web page and insert a diploma mailing address prior to the date that the degree will be conferred. Mid-year degrees will be mailed four to six weeks after the degree has been conferred. To receive diplomas, graduates must have paid all debts to the University in full.
If a diploma mailing address is not provided in advance, the diploma will remain at the Office of the Secretary and Vice President until we are notified by e-mail with mailing instructions. Those instructions, e-mailed to barbara.mongillo@yale.edu, must include your name, degree, date of degree conferral, and mailing address. Alternatively, a diploma can be picked up by appointment on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, 9 am – 4:30 pm only. Please e-mail barbara.mongillo@yale.edu to schedule an appointment. Identification must be shown when picking up diplomas.
Students who qualify for degrees in December from the Graduate School can receive their diplomas in the mail or request this office to hold the diploma for distribution at the Commencement ceremony in May. The Graduate School will send information regarding this process to graduates in December. December degrees will be available in late January.
