Vietnamese Perspectives on the War in Vietnam

Information Page

This is a bibliography for college teachers looking for works by Vietnamese people to include in courses about the American involvement in that country. The author, John C. Schafer, once a civilian aid worker in Viet Nam, author of many articles on Vietnamese literature, teaches American literature in the English Department at a small university in California.

This page is provided by the Council for Southeast Asian Studies at Yale University, an interdisciplinary, non-degree granting body of the Yale Graduate School located at the Yale Center for International and Area Studies. With core faculty in the major disciplines, and a large comprehensive collection in Yale's Sterling Memorial Library, along with specialized collections in affiliated schools, the Council aims to train top quality graduate and undergraduate students, and promote research and teaching on all aspects of the cultures, politics and economies of Southeast Asia (primarily Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), both historical and contemporary.
