VIQR: VIetnamese Quoted-Readable Specification

This work uses VIQR encoding as specified by the Vietnamese Standardization Working Group in their May 1993 specification on encoding the Vietnamese Language. The following table is taken from their report and should clarify how the diacritics of the language are encoded in a number of formats. The only change is that in the standard form of VIQR, greater-than and less-than signs are used group vowels and their diacritics, whereas the special significance of those signs in HTML makes it much easier, and still legible, to do without them.

Using Frames

This page is prepared using a "frames" format, which not every web browser is able to handle at the moment. To navigate using frames, there is the set of buttons on the left which will take you from site to site, or:

On a mac, hold down the mouse button while the pointer is in a frame, and a pop-up menu will offer you the choice of going "back" in a frame.
