"Singing Sentiment"

This film documents the life and activities of an elderly quan ho* folksong singer in Diem Village, Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam. As she tells her life story, it becomes clear how closely her story is intertwined with her love of music, indicating the intimate connection between quan ho folksong and village life. The film was shot in summer, 2008 and 2010.

The film is a rough cut and not yet subtitled. Copies of dialogue transcription will be available at the screening.
