The Southeast Asia CRN is supported by a grant from the Ford Foundation. Yale University hosts this website and provides electronic communication among participants in the project. The American Council of Learned Societies coordinates the activities of the Collaborative Research Network "Official and Vernacular Identifications in the Making of the Modern World"; of which the Southeast Asia CRN is a constitutive element.
