The third Gospel tells the story of Jesus with an emphasis on the importance of repentance and with an eye toward the implications of the Gospel for the poor. It contains many of the best known parables of Jesus and some of the most beloved poetry in the New Testament. It frames this all within a larger vision of God’s history with Israel and all of humankind.  This course will provide an opportunity to gain or regain a close acquaintance with this important early Christian Gospel witness.
