After an initial plenary session reviewing the conference framework and presenting conference participants to the Yale community, the conference will convene Friday 26 September for two work sessions, which will be open to observation by interested members of the Yale community. Saturday will entail one open morning session and one closed afternoon session for registered conference participants to address technically and politically specific issues. Sunday morning's work session will establish an agenda for the follow-up conference to be held in central Africa. Each session will have its own internal objectives and relevance to the conference's over-arching agenda: analysis of conservation and research in past, present, and future resource use relations in the Sangha River basin.
