In 1993 Nora was arrested for supporting her addiction to neon pink hair scrunties by selling illegally sanctioned copies of the Hot Sundaes almost hit "I'm So Excited" from the popular 1991 episode "Jessie's Song."  Nora was sent to a rehabilitation center for bad taste, where she was forced to give up her hair crimper for good.

When she was offered a guest starring role on Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas (1994), Nora politely turned it down.  She commented thusly: "To accept the role would be like admitting to them that I was wrong and I just couldn't give the former Miss Lisa Turtle the satisfaction, while saying it may have gotten me kicked off the show in '92, now I am no longer afraid to say it, blondes DO have more fun, and if Lark Voorhies can't deal with it then she can go suck a lemon...or, like, rub one in her hair for natural highlights!"
