Yale Rugby Holds Third Annual Alumni Weekend

Though Colgate did not have the numbers to bring a squad for the exhibition game, alumni participation in the annual event stepped up and made possible the fielding of two sides. The "further removed" grads took on the B-side in the first contest of the day and managed to grind out a narrow 8-7 decision.

Afterward, the game between the recent grads and the A-side took on an added intrigue this year thanks to a trophy featuring the mounted skull of a Cape Buffalo generously donated by the father of Sean Walbridge '08. This extra motivation pushed the A-side to a 36-12 victory in a tightly contested match that was tied 12-12 at the half. The club hopes that this young alums vs. A-side game will become a lasting tradition.
