YALE 0 - Boston College 42Saturday, the 6th October, the Yale Rugby Football Club played Boston College at home. The first quarter of the match was played at a frantic pace, with Yale dominating play both in possession and field position. Boston College came up against strong defense by their opposition forward back, and any isolated crash-ball immediately resulted in a turn-over ball and counter-attack by Yale. On attack, Yale's backline moved the ball quickly, often finding space out wide. However, while Yale dominated at first, the momentum swung in favor of Boston College for the remainder of the match. Boston College used their sizable forward runners to set up phases ahead of the advantage line, slowly grinding down Yale's defense. When they did have the ball, Yale failed to win first phase play, further putting themselves under pressure. Final Result: Boston College 42 - Yale 0 |
