The year 2001 marked the 300th anniversary of Yale’s founding.
For three centuries, the University has educated students
from all walks of life who have gone on to leadership positions in virtually
every field. The Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) and other military
educational assistance programs open to Yale students help continue that
tradition of leadership. You may wish to consider ROTC or related programs as a
means of financing your Yale education and preparing for service in the
military.
Scholarships and other financial aid offered through ROTC
and related programs are among several financial aid options available to
students. These programs are based exclusively on merit and may be of
particular interest to those students who are not eligible for need-based
financial aid. Yale students have been exceptionally successful when seeking
entry into these competitive programs.
As you will see from the information on the site, we make every effort
to ensure that students in ROTC and related programs can take advantage of the
exceptional opportunities and resources a Yale education offers. We invite you
to consider the programs available while at Yale. If one or more of them might
help you to meet your educational and career goals, please feel free to contact
the Yale ROTC Advisor or the other offices listed for further details.
