RIS offers a wide-range of data capture, document conversion and document management solutions. We have the ability to work with challenging documents that are of varying size, color, shape, age, and texture. Our services include the one-time conversion of paper documents to PDF files, the use of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert printed materials to electronic text files, and range all the way to document management system development, administration and hosting.
Using a variety of high-quality flat-bed and high-speed sheet fed
document scanners from Kodak, Canon and Fujitsu and the latest in
software from Xerox, Adobe, Scansoft and Liberty IMS, RIS is prepared
to meet the university's community wide document processing requirements.
For total document processing solutions, RIS utilizes LibertyNET Document
Management software from Liberty IMS Inc.
LibertyWEB allows documents to be accessed via the World Wide Web using any commercial browser and without additional software. Documents are viewable in real time, not posted for later viewing. The system can be configured to meet precise security demands.
LibertyNET provides many ways of adding information to a document without modifying the original. Extensive markup and annotation tools allow additions to be stored and tracked on different layers. All information types including scanned images, text, voice, or video, can be incorporated in the same system, folder or document.
