Curriculum Vitae

Shannon Craigo-Snell is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies, specializing in Modern Christian Thought. She offers courses on feminist theologies, political and liberation theologies, theology and power, and theology and theater. Her first book, Silence, Love, and Death: Saying “Yes” to God in the Theology of Karl Rahner (Marquette University Press, 2008), offers a non-foundationalist reading of Rahner’s theology. Her second book, Living Christianity: A Pastoral Theology for Today (Fortress Press, 2009), is co-authored with Shawnthea Monroe and explores the intersections between systematic theology and Christian life.  In addition, Professor Craigo-Snell has published articles and essays on popular culture, performance interpretation, and feminist theology. Her current project is a constructive ecclesiology that brings Christian theological texts into conversation with the writings of 20th century theatre directors.
