Kathryn Banakis is pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and the Institute of Sacred Music with the intention of entering the ordained priesthood. She holds a BA in Religious Studies from Yale where her studies focused on issues of institutional sin in the United States. Prior to beginning her graduate studies Kathryn worked as a federal lobbyist in both the public and private sectors on issues of affordable housing, homelessness, water and natural resources, public safety, information technology, and economic development.
