1986 was released in 1986 by Jack Straw Studios.
Track 6 was recorded and mixed in the spring of 1984 under the musical direction of Randy Hostetler '85. The backgrounds to tracks 13 and 14 were also recorded at this time.
Tracks 9 and 11 were recorded in the spring of 1985 under the direction of Robert Tate '86.
Tracks 10, 15, and 21 were recorded at the 9th Annual Redhot & Blue-Whiffenpoof Jamboree in March of 1986.
