Also called the surplus program, this initiative means to re-home reusable items, no longer wanted or need on-campus, with other Yale departments or local non-profits.

- removes standard recyclables from buildings and places outside for Grounds

Grounds Maintenance, Central Campus

- collects cardboard in a rear-loading packer truck, and papers; commingled cans, bottles and foil, in a compartmentalized truck
- delivers recyclables to New Haven Transfer Station for processing
- collects scrap metal, and leaves for composting
