About

Queer Peers provides a one-on-one peer counseling service specializing in the needs of LGBTQQ-identified people. The peer counselors staff the Queer Resource Center, providing a comfortable, safe environment in which to counsel members of the Yale community regarding issues of gender and sexuality at Yale. Queer Peers also hosts special events, including panels and group discussions, in a comfortable, open, and safe environment.

Peer counselors are available in the 2008-2009 school year as a trusted resource to talk privately to students and other members of the Yale community regarding issues of gender and sexuality in a safe, confidential, and supportive atmosphere. People drop by to talk about issues they face regarding their own sexuality or identity or that of their friends, roommates, family members, etc.

The Queer Resource Center will be closed for the summer; check back for new open hours in September 2009.
