About the PSC

PSC or RIS?

PSC

The Publishing Services Center provides practical publishing solutions free of charge to the Yale community. Our consultants are client advocates who offer guidance about the best approach to your publishing needs. This service includes:

  • Project-specific advice about scheduling, vendor selection, pricing, etc.
  • A vendor qualification process that works with design, print, and Web vendors in order to create a pool of lowest-cost, best-service vendors from which you can choose. The PSC monitors vendor performance and helps when you have vendor-related problems.
  • The development of general guidelines, tools, and training to ensure that departments and schools are able to manage their publishing needs in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • The development of best-practices solutions for common publishing challenges faced across the University community.
  • Where appropriate, unit-level analysis of publishing activities and the development of customized solutions that will save time and money. Our consultants will even work with you to implement these solutions.

Feel free to contact the PSC for any type of publishing-related advice. We are here to serve you.

RIS

RIS, Yale’s own internal provider of graphic design, print, copy, and mail services, is a fee-for-service (cost recovery) unit. If you currently work with RIS and are inquiring about a current or past project, please continue to contact them directly. RIS continues to work and streamline services and the customer service process to better serve the community.
