VII.B   Governance

1. Governing Board. The Governing board consists of the Dean and all tenured faculty with primary or fully joint appointments in the School. The Board is responsible for recommending to the Provost candidates for academic and research appointments and advises the Dean on academic planning.

2. The General Faculty. All ladder faculty appointed on term or with tenure participate with voice and vote in the General Faculty, which is responsible for educational policy and curricular affairs. Adjunct and visiting faculty members may attend faculty meetings, but do not vote. Associate deans and other members of the administration who do not hold faculty appointment may be invited by the Dean to attend and vote.
